A GBD is a tool for enhancing the "public realm" -
any publicly-owned street, sidewalk, park, plaza,
open space or amenity

In the Inner Sunset, a GBD could support a variety of enhanced maintenance services, such as cleaning and greening. It could also support a number of streetscape improvement projects, for instance:

Sidewalk Greening Trees, planters, parklets and gardens along sidewalks would add aesthetic and ecological value to public spaces
